Erhard von Büren

Erhard von Büren (born December 29, 1940 in Oberdorf SO) is a Swiss writer .

Live and act

Erhard von Büren grew up in a working-class family and attended the teachers' college in Solothurn . He studied psychology and German literature in Zurich and obtained his doctorate with a dissertation on the importance of psychology in Robert Musil's work . In addition to his studies, he worked as a primary school teacher.

He taught pedagogy in Aarau and was a seminar teacher in Solothurn. After studying in Paris, he worked as a lecturer at the Didactic Institute of the Northwestern Swiss Conference of Educational Directors (NWEDK).

He organized readings for the authors of the "Sisyphus" series ( Zytglogge Verlag ); From 1999 to 2005 he was a member of the cantonal literature commission and gave guest lectures on Swiss literature at universities in India and China.

Von Büren lives as a freelance writer in Solothurn.
