Le Moissonnier

Eric Menchon (* 1965 in Aix en Provence ) is a French chef . He is Chef de Cuisine at the Le Moissonnier restaurant in Cologne .

Live and act

Menchon, whose French parents lived in Morocco, grew up in Pertuis in the south of France . After attending the hotel management school Lycée Hôtelier de Nice in Nice , he worked at the Le Mazarin restaurant in Aix-en-Provence and at the restaurant des Quatre Saisons in Marseille .

At the age of 23 he moved to Cologne and began to cook in the restaurant Le Moissonnier with patron Vincent Moissonnier in Cologne-Neustadt-Nord , who spent his apprenticeship with Henry Levy . Since 2008, the cuisine of Le Moissonnier under Menchon's management has been awarded two Michelin stars , Gault-Millau 2010 rated it with 18/20 points. The restaurant is known for its haute cuisine of classic French cuisine .

Menchon is married, has two children and lives in Cologne.
