Eric in Stress is an animated series broadcast from 1998 to 1999 from England . The German first broadcast took place on September 13, 1998.

action

Forty-year-old Eric Feeble has fiery red hair and lives in a semi-detached London house. As the name of the series suggests, he's always stressed out. His ex-wife Liz has escaped the hustle and bustle and has turned to Buddhism . It just turns up sometimes and makes life difficult for him. His children are nothing to worry him either. His nine-year-old son Brian is autistic, which means he has never achieved anything in school. He walks around pointlessly all day putting things in his mouth. His six-year-old daughter, Claire, is allergic to pretty much anything, and Eric worries every episode with allergic reactions . Otherwise, bad luck always haunts him. His only relief is the Portuguese au pair Maria, who is a heavy alcoholic and often causes trouble. In the other half of the duplex it looks very different. Perfect people live here who are also called: the Perfect family. You are wealthy and always happy.

When Eric is particularly stressed, a wild beating vein becomes visible on his temple. At the end of each episode, everything negative falls over him, whereupon the vein emerges from the head and chokes him unconscious.

  • Ray Perfect - The father of the snobby Perfect family who works in the same company as Eric. In contrast to him, he is a high-flyer in terms of career and never misses an opportunity to pull Eric down even more.
  • Paul Power - Eric's boss, who constantly teases him and tells him to follow Ray Perfect as an example.
  • Alison - Eric's secretary, who spends the whole day talking on the phone, so Eric has to do her job.
  • The Doctor - A young-at-heart 48-year-old doctor whom Eric has to see at least once a week for reasons. He gets a lot of medication prescribed by him, but none of them help because Eric's illnesses are psychosomatic .
  • Mrs. Wilson - An old, very slow woman who hinders Eric once per episode with her extremely slow walk on the way to the mailbox when he's in a hurry.
