Erich Ackermann

Erich Alfred Benedictus Ackermann (born January 5, 1900 in Leipzig ; † January 20, 1983 in Munich ) was a German publisher , bookseller and co-owner of the publishing house and book printer BG Teubner in Leipzig and manor owner.

Life

Erich Ackermann was the son of the publisher Alfred Ackermann and, after his father withdrew from the business in 1916, took over as co-owner of his publishing bookstore in Leipzig.

He spent part of his childhood on the Gundorf manor near Leipzig, which his father had acquired in 1903 and which he later became a co-owner. From 1922 he was the sole owner of Gundorf.

On February 17, 1929, he married Fanny von Restorff in Berlin, the co-owner of the publishing bookstore and printing company BG Teubner.
