Erich Bucker

Erich "Ete" Bücker (born November 6, 1930 in Hann. Münden ; † January 6, 2013 in Bremerhaven ) was a German football player . The outside runner in the World Cup system practiced at the time played 232 league games in the first-class Oberliga Nord for TuS Bremerhaven 93 from 1951 to 1962 and scored 17 goals.

"Ete" Bücker played after transferring from his home club TSG Hannoversch Münden from July 1951 to June 1962 at TuS Bremerhaven 93 in midfield. The club then played in the Oberliga Nord , which was the top division at the time. He made his first league debut under the later Braunschweig master coach Helmuth Johannsen . Mostly he finished with the team in the middle of the table. However, the 1954/55 season was outstanding . In the league, he reached the final round of the German championship with his club as second behind the Hamburger SV . There he played all eight games - two qualifying games against Wormatia Worms and six group games - and with his teammates around outside runners and B national player Werner Lang finished second after the group games behind the eventual German champions Rot-Weiss Essen . In the same season, Bremerhaven also took part in the DFB Cup . After a 5-1 win against second-rate SpVgg Erkenschwick and a 3-1 win against league rivals Hamburger SV, the team lost 2-0 in the quarter-finals to what would later be the cup finalists FC Schalke 04 . Bucker was used in all three games. His last two seasons were then marked by the relegation battle, but both times with 14th place the relegation could be avoided.

After finishing his active football career, the trained freight forwarder worked for several years as a coach for various amateur football clubs.
