Erich H. Baumann (born January 19, 1965 , resident in Flawil SG) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ). He has represented the constituency of Wil in the Cantonal Council of the Canton of St. Gallen since 2016 .

Life

Erich Baumann passed the commercial school of the St. Gallen Commercial Association in 1984 and completed his banking training almost ten years later in 1993. He then worked as head of finances, branch manager and advisor in private banking at St.Galler Kantonalbank, until he received his federal diploma in 1999. Marketing planner and in 2000 dipl. IGK became a financial planner. Until his training for the eid. dipl. Sales Manager In 2003, Erich Baumann worked as team leader Acquisition Private Banking Switzerland and as Relationship Manager. In 2015 he finally obtained the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS). Until 2017 he also acted as a lecturer for prospective marketing specialists and sales managers at the iQ Management Center school in Altenrhein SG for 15 years . Since 2019 he has been working as a Relationship Manager at Bank Vontobel AG in St. Gallen.

Erich Baumann is married, has two children and lives in Flawil SG.

politics

Erich Baumann started his political career in 1991 as a member of the business audit committee of the political municipality of Flawil. Since 2004 he has been the president of the business audit committee of the local community of Flawil. Until 2016 he held various offices: City council of the municipality of Flawil, head of the civil engineering and transport department, head of social and health department, guardianship president and director of the child and adult protection authority for the Gossau region. He has been a member of the Cantonal Council of St.Gallen since June 6, 2016 and has been a member of the Finance Commission from 2017.

economy

Since June 2004 Erich Baumann has been a member of the board of directors of GGA, a cable network operator in Flawil. In addition, he has been a member of the board of directors of the Cooperative for Senior Citizens' Housing (GSF) since 2014 and in 2016 he was a member of the board of directors and the investment committee of the building insurance company (GVA) of the canton of St. Gallen.
