The the Anti Atlas belonging peaks of Jbel Kissane ( Arabic جبل كيسان) In the small town of Agdz in the province of Zagora in the region Drâa Tafilalet , with its approximately 1,485 m (according to other sources 1531 m) Height of the tallest and most striking elevations of southern Morocco . It forms the highest peak of an approx. 14 km long mountain range.

The Jbel Kissane towers above the city of Agdz, which is about 10 km (as the crow flies) to the west, and the Draa Valley by about 500 m. The rock -strewn mountain can be climbed within 2 or 3 hours from the Berber town of Tamnougalt , but also from other villages in the area that can be reached by car (bring drinking water!).
Attractions
In the early 20th century is located on the southern flank of the mountain on behalf of in Telouet resident Glaoui clan of rammed earth built fort ( kasbah ) Taourirt.
