Erich Beck

Erich Beck (born June 2, 1898 in Vienna , † August 27, 1959 in Vienna) was an Austrian trade unionist and politician ( SPÖ ).

Erich Beck studied at the University of World Trade . From 1920 to 1928 he worked for the large purchasing company of Austrian consumer associations ( GöC ). From 1928 he was a union official . From 1928 to 1932 he was managing director of the district consumer and savings cooperative Leoben, from 1933 secretary at the consumer cooperative in Vienna , and later he became director there.

Beck was a member of the Federal Council from 1945 to 1954 .
