Erich Edgar Schulze

Erich Edgar Schulze (born October 3, 1880 in Berlin ; † April 22, 1974 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) was a German naval officer and economic manager .

Career

Schulze was born the son of the secret government councilor Georg Schulze and his wife Olga, the sister of Alfred von Tirpitz . His father was director of the Kgl. French high school in Berlin-Dahlem. There he passed the Abitur in 1898. After a semester at the Law Faculty of the University of Berlin, he embarked on an officer career in the Imperial Navy in 1899. In 1922 he joined DEMAG and was a member of the board of directors from 1946 until he left in 1950.

From 1947 to 1954 he was President of the Lower Rhine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Duisburg-Wesel , and also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National Bank in Essen.

He was married to Marie-Luise Boysen. His eldest son Harro was born in 1909.
