Erich Hackl (bank manager)

Erich Werner Hackl (born September 27, 1952 in Voitsberg ) is an Austrian bank manager who is and was active in leading positions in the Austrian Volksbank association .

career path

From September 1969 he was an employee of Volksbank Köflach reg.Gen.mbH (today: Volksbank für die Süd- und Weststeiermark reg.Gen.mbH in Köflach), whose managing director he became in February 1977 and was appointed chairman of the board in 1985 . In January 1998 he became a member of the board of the Österreichische Volksbanken AG , based in Vienna, and in July 2008 he moved to Allgemeine Bausparkasse reg.Gem.mbH, in Vienna, where he was chairman of the board and general director. He led this until his retirement, which began in October 2012.

His parents ran a pastry shop in Köflach, his older brother Günther also worked in banking. With his wife Ingeborg, geb. Hiebler, he has three children (Heidrun, Erich and Katrin) and six grandchildren. The majority of the family has lived in Klosterneuburg since 2005 .
