List of French ambassadors in Austria

This is a list of the French envoys and ambassadors in the Habsburg Monarchy or in the Empire of Austria and Austria-Hungary as well as in the Republic of Austria .

The French monarchs sent diplomats to the Roman German emperors , who were often Archduke of Austria in personal union , and to the Reichstag .
