This is a list of the French envoys and authorized ministers in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany (until 1860).

history

The Kingdom of France and the Duchy of Tuscany had diplomatic relations as early as the 16th century . Two daughters of the Medici family ( Caterina and Maria ) were queens of France .

In 1801, under pressure from the French Empire , the Tuscan Grand Duke Ferdinand III. deposed, and the Kingdom of Etruria established under the House of Bourbon-Parma . In 1807 this was annexed by France. After the Napoleonic Wars, the Grand Duchy of Tuscany was restored in 1814 until it joined the Kingdom of Italy in 1860 .
