Erich Hoerz

Erich Hoerz (* 1929 in Reichenbach an der Fils ; † August 5, 2008 in Münsingen ) was a German wood engineer and developer of the pedal .

Life

Erich Hoerz first completed a commercial apprenticeship and a wood engineering degree in Rosenheim . Then Hoerz went to the United States and Canada . After his return he took over the management of the Bischof company in Reichenbach. He was very interested in psychomotor skills and invented playground equipment to train balance . His ideas have been implemented in his own company, Holz-Hoerz, since 1965. Many sports and therapy devices that are used in competitions, in school sports as well as in promoting disabled people were produced in his company.

Erich Hoerz received the Federal Good Form Award (1971), the World Didac Gold Award (1990) and most recently the Toy Russia 2008 award .

In 2006 Erich Hoerz sold his company to Sport-Thieme and left as managing director. However, he remained loyal to the company as a freelance consultant until his death.
