Erich Kretschmar

Karl Emil Erich Kretschmar (born July 31, 1880 in Berlin ; † April 3, 1929 in Berleburg ) was a German administrative officer and district administrator of Wittgenstein .

Life

Erich Kretschmar was a lieutenant in the Minden Field Artillery Regiment No. 58 of the 13th Infantry Division of the Prussian Army . He studied law and was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD. On February 2, 1905, he was sworn in as a court trainee. On September 15, 1906, he became a government trainee in Frankfurt an der Oder. In 1909 he was appointed government assessor and worked in the Essen district. In 1911 he worked at the Bochum police department and in 1913 in the Minden district. On May 3, 1917, he was appointed government councilor.

On October 9, 1917, he was provisional management of the Wittgenstein district and on June 8, 1918, he was finally appointed district administrator in Wittgenstein. From 1918 to 1920 he was a member of the Westphalian Provincial Parliament for the Wittgenstein constituency. In 1929 he died in office.

Kretschmar was a member of the German National People's Party (DNVP).
