Erich Riecke (born July 15, 1906 in Dortmund , † October 29, 1992 ) was a CDU politician .

Life

Riecke was a member of the Dortmund City Council from 1948 to 1975. In 1964 he was elected deputy mayor. For his committed work, he was awarded the ring of honor and the city plaque of the city of Dortmund, and he was also honored with the honorary title of "former mayor". In addition, Federal President Karl Carstens awarded Erich Riecke the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class, on his 75th birthday .

In the Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe and in national technical committees he worked on the design of the Westphalian part of the country, which u. a. for the protection of monuments in Aplerbeck. Through the state curator, he obtained funds for the renovation of St. George's Church in Aplerbeck.
