Erich Roehrbein

Erich Roehrbein (born January 10, 1892 in Cologne , † December 18, 1964 in Bonn ) was a German lawyer .

Life

He studied law and economics ( doctorate on March 26, 1920 with Leopold von Wiese and Max Scheler ). He worked as a judge , later in the Prussian Ministry of Justice and in the Reich Ministry of Justice . In 1931, while working as a judge at the Cologne Higher Regional Court , he was given a teaching position at the University of Cologne for civil, commercial and insurance law. In 1942 he was appointed honorary professor at the University of Cologne specializing in individual and social security law and, moreover, civil law. In 1954 he was appointed the first President of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Social Court .
