Erich Staudacher

Erich Staudacher (* 1954 in Stuttgart ) is a major general a. D. the air force of the German armed forces . In his last employment he was deputy head of the Bundeswehr Planning Office in Berlin .

Life

Staudacher joined the Bundeswehr in 1974 . Afterwards he was trained as an officer in the air force and studied aerospace engineering at the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich in Neubiberg (graduate engineer). He went through various uses and studied economics at the Fernuniversität in Hagen (Diplom-Ökonom). In 1987/88 he was unit leader, maintenance squadron and weapon squadron in Fighter Bomber Wing 31 in Nörvenich.

From 1988 to 1990 he completed the general staff course (L) at the command academy of the Bundeswehr (FüAkBw) in Hamburg. He was then used in the Air Force Office (LwA) in Cologne and in the command staff of the armed forces (Fü S) in Bonn. From 1994 to 1996 he was the commander of the technical group of Fighter Bomber Wing 32 in Lechfeld. From 1996 to 1999 he was a military attaché in the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations in New York. In 1999 he became head of the Logistic Principles group for the Air Force at the Air Force Support Command (LwUKdo) in Cologne. In 2001/02 he was the head of the Luftwaffe (A 4) unit at the Luftwaffe Command (LwFüKdo) in Cologne. In 2002/03 he became head of the leadership and management department at the FüAkBw. From 2003 to 2005 he was head of the division for all airborne weapon systems and their armament in the command staff of the Air Force (Fü L) in Bonn. In 2005 he became Deputy Commander in Military District Command IV in Munich. From 2007 to 2009 he was Deputy Head of Staff of the Fü S. In 2009/10 he was then Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces Support Command (SKUKdo) in Cologne.

In 2010 he was transferred to Bonn as Chief of Staff for Fü L. From 2012 to 2014 he was Chief of Staff Command Air Force in Berlin. In 2014 he was Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer at the LH Bundeswehr Bekleidungsgesellschaft (LHBw) in Cologne. From 2015 to September 20, 2016 he was Deputy Head of the Bundeswehr Planning Office (PlgABw) in Berlin. Staudacher retired on December 1, 2016.

He is a member of the advisory board of the Clausewitz Society .
