Erich Unshelm
Erich Unshelm (born October 9, 1890 in Bremen ; † November 16, 1965 ) was a German statistician and politician (DDP, FDP) and a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .
education and profession
Unshelm put first a diploma exam at a university of Local Government before he specialized in political science doctorate . He then worked as a research assistant and later as in-house counsel .
politics
Since 1918 Unshelm was a member of the Reich Party Committee of the DDP . After 1946 he joined the FDP . For this party he sat on the city council of Dortmund and was chairman of the parliamentary group there.
Unshelm was a member of the appointed Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia in 1946 and 1947 . Then he moved on the state list in the elected state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was a member of the state parliament until 1958.
Honors
- In 1956 he received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany
