Erich Zib

Erich Zib (born October 20, 1951 in Vienna ) is an Austrian Heurigen musician, songwriter, composer and presenter.

Live and act

Erich Zib was born in Vienna as the son of the Heurigen musician Franz Zib . As a trained retail salesman, he worked as a sales manager and completed vocal training with Rudolf Olster as well as harmonica training. As early as 1968, Zib performed as an interpreter of the Wienerlied at Heurigen in Gumpoldskirchen and Guntramsdorf , and in 1995 he became a professional musician. Numerous appearances at home and abroad followed, and thus on all continents of the world.

Since 2003, Zib has been running his own radio program on the topic of Wienerlied, which is broadcast in numerous free radio programs. He is also the editor of Wienerlied music books and founder of the Radio Wienerlied publishing house. Daughter Marion Zib is also active as a Viennese song musician.
