Erick Estéfano Torres Padilla (born January 19, 1993 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a Mexican football player .

The striker is currently under contract with Houston Dynamo .

Career

CD Guadalajara

2010 Torres came to the first team of Deportivo Guadalajara. Before that he played in the youth team. He made his debut on November 13, 2010 in a game against CF Monterrey and scored one goal. In the Clausura 2011 he was the team's second most successful goalscorer.

On July 10, 2013 Torres was loaned to the Major League Soccer franchise CD Chivas USA . During his time there, he was one of the team's top scorers. After the dissolution of the Chivas at the end of the 2014 season, he returned to Mexico.

Houston Dynamo

On December 18, 2014, Guadalajara announced that Torres would return to the league based on an agreement with the MLS. On December 22, 2014, he was taken over by Houston Dynamo as Designated Player and then loaned back to Deportivo Guadalajara for six months. This was part of the agreement with Major League Soccer.

National team

Torres Padilla took part in the 2010 Milk Cup with Mexico's U-17 and finished fourth with the team. In 2011 he played for Mexico's U-20 team . He was part of the squad that competed at the Toulon tournament and the 2011 U-20 World Cup . At the World Cup he was the youngest player in the Mexican squad. He reached 3rd place with the team. In 2012 he played with the U-23 national team in the CONCACAF qualification tournament for the 2012 Summer Olympics . Mexico qualified and later won the gold medal, but Torres was not part of the squad.

On September 6, 2014, he made his debut for the Mexican national soccer team in a game against Chile . On October 12, 2014, he scored his first international goal against Panama.
