The Erickson Glacier is a 19 km long glacier in Antarctica's Ross Dependency . It flows in the Queen Maud Mountains between Mount Young and O'Leary Peak in a northerly direction to the Ramsey Glacier , which it reaches just before its confluence with the Ross Ice Shelf .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the glacier in 1966 after Commander J. L. Erickson of the United States Navy , captain of the USCGC Staten Island in Operation Deep Freeze in 1965.
