Erigone (daughter of Aigisthus)

Erigone ( Greek  Ἠριγόνη ) is the daughter of Aigisthus and Klytemnestra in Greek mythology .

According to Hyginus ( Fabulae 122), she would also have been killed by her half-brother Orestes , who had previously killed Aletes , the son of Aigisthus , had Artemis not removed her and made her a priestess in Attica .

After Pausanias ( Description of Greece 2.18.5f.) Joined Orestes, however, with his half-sister and fathered a son with her named Penthilus .
