Thomas Piermayr (born August 2, 1989 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Piermayr went through all LASK youth teams and played at the Linz football academy .

In 2007 he joined the black and white squad for the first time. Since the 2008/09 season he has been an integral part of the Stahlstädter. He made his Bundesliga debut on July 9, 2008 in the first round game between Kapfenberger SV and LASK, where he came on for Siegfried Rasswalder in the 67th minute . Three days later on July 12, 2008, he scored his first Bundesliga goal in a 3-1 win against SCR Altach after preliminary work by Jürgen Panis .

In July 2011 he signed with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Premier League .

In summer 2012 he moved back to Austria and signed a contract with SC Magna Wiener Neustadt .

After only one season at home, he turned his back on it and moved to Lillestrøm SK in Norway . However, he stayed there for only half a year and moved to the USA for the Colorado Rapids . From May 2015 to July 2015 he played in Belarus for FK Minsk . He then moved to Hungary to Békéscsaba Előre . He left Hungary after the 2015/16 season.

In January 2017 he moved to Sweden to the AFC Eskilstuna . After relegation from Fotbollsallsvenskan at the end of the season, he returned to Austria in January 2018, where he joined the third-class LASK Juniors OÖ syndicate (consisting of the second team from LASK and the first team from FC Juniors OÖ ). At the end of the season he was promoted to the 2nd league with LASK Juniors OÖ . After the 2017/18 season he left the Juniors and moved to Cyprus to the second division Olympiakos Nicosia .

With Olympiakos he rose to the end of the season in the First Division . He then returned to Austria for the 2019/20 season to the meanwhile third-class SC Wiener Neustadt, which was renamed the 1st Wiener Neustädter SC in November 2019 .
