Penthilus (son of Orestes)

Penthilos ( Greek  Πένθιλος ) is in Greek mythology the son of Orestes with Erigone , daughter of Aigisthus . After Orestes' death, according to Velleius Paterculus , he and his half-brother Teisamenos ruled Sparta and Argos for three years .

His sons are Damasios or Echelaos . Aioli colonies were founded by him and his descendants on Lesbos and in Asia Minor , especially the Aiolis . The city of Penthile was specifically named after Penthilos. In Mytilene the Penthiliden established a unique rule of Megakles has been eliminated.
