Erik Abrahamsson

Erik Abrahamsson ( Erik Adolf Efraim "Erik Aber" Abrahamsson ; born January 28, 1898 in Södertälje ; † May 19, 1965 ibid) was a Swedish long jumper and ice hockey player .

At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 he won the bronze medal with 7.08 m behind his compatriot William Petersson (7.15 m) and the American Carl Johnson (7.095 m). From 1921 to 1923 he was Swedish champion three times in a row. He set his personal best of 7.12 m on July 1, 1923 in Gothenburg .

At the European ice hockey championship in 1921 , he was European champion with the Swedish national team (only opponent was Czechoslovakia ).

In 1925 he suggested the establishment of an ice hockey department in his sports club Södertälje SK . In the very first year he became Swedish champion with the new team .
