Erik Felipe Barbosa Cardoso (born March 3, 2000 ) is a Brazilian sprinter .

Athletic career

Erik Cardoso gained his first experience at international championships in 2017 at the Youth World Championships in Nairobi , where he was eliminated in the first round of the 100-meter run with 11.20 seconds. Two years later he reached fifth place in the 200-meter run at the South American Championships in Lima in 21.20 s and won the silver medal behind the team from Venezuela in 39.91 s with the Brazilian 4-by-100-meter relay . He then won the U20 South American Championships in Cali in 10.23 s over 100 meters and retired over 200 meters with 21.87 s in the run, while he won the gold medal with the relay in 40.30 s. He then took part with the relay at the Summer Universiade in Naples and was used there in advance. At the Pan American U20 Championships in San José , he was fifth over 100 meters in 10.39 s and eliminated over 200 meters with 21.97 s in the first round. He also won the bronze medal with the relay in 39.42 s.
