NFL

In the 2019 NFL Draft , he was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the second round as the 48th player. In order to be able to select him, it was necessary to swap the previous second-round and fourth-round pick by the Miami Dolphins for their own second-round picks in 2019 and 2020 as well as the pick of the 6th round in 2019. McCoy received a four-year contract worth $ 6.08 million , 2.4 of which was a signing bonus . Due to his good performance in preparation, he was able to prevail against Nick Easton and conquer the position of the starting center that had become vacant after the resignation of Max Unger . He immediately became a key player and was already on the field in 99% of all offensive moves in his rookie season.
