Erika Danzinger

Erika Danzinger (born November 14, 1929 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

Erika Danzinger grew up in the 21st Viennese district of Floridsdorf , where she completed a federal high school after elementary school . After graduating from high school , she studied law at the University of Vienna and received a doctorate in law in 1952 .

After a year of legal practice, Danzinger found work in 1953 as a correspondent in a private bank. But her political career began as early as 1956 when she became a civil servant in the Federal Ministry of Finance under Minister Reinhard Kamitz . In 1984 she moved to the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labor , where she made it to head of department under Minister Norbert Steger . In 1988 she retired.

She held Danzinger's first mandate from 1973 when she became a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council for the ÖVP . In 1977 she, who was the deputy head of the Austrian women's movement in Vienna, was elected district party chairman of the ÖVP for Floridsdorf. After five years as a member of the state parliament, Danzinger moved to the Federal Council in November 1978 . She was a member of this for another five years, until November 1983.
