Erin Manning

Erin Manning (born February 1, 1969 ) is a Canadian cultural theorist , philosopher and artist in the field of dance and design .

Manning's research includes art , political theory, and philosophy . She received her PhD in Political Philosophy from the University of Hawaii in 2000. She currently teaches in the Faculty of Arts at Concordia University .

Manning is the founder and director of the "SenseLab". Together with other artists and theorists, the interdisciplinary laboratory explores the connection between artistic creation and theoretical research.
