Erjon Bogdani (born April 14, 1977 in Tirana ) is a former Albanian football player who played in the forward position . In 2013 he officially resigned as a professional soccer player.

Career

society

Bogdani began his professional career at Partizan Tirana , with whom he won the Albanian Cup in 1997 before moving to NK Zagreb in 1998 .

From 2000 to 2003 he played for Reggina Calcio two seasons in Serie A and in the 2001/02 series B . In the 2003/04 season he was loaned to Salernitana (Serie B), where he completed all 38 games of the season and scored eight goals. In 2004/05 he was loaned again, this time to Hellas Verona , where he was the second top scorer in Serie B after Gionatha Spinesi from Arezzo with 17 goals . He was also - like two years later - voted Albania's Footballer of the Year.

He played in Serie A for Siena from 2005 to 2006 and had a regular place there alongside Mario Frick . During the winter break of the 2006/07 season, Bogdani moved to Chievo Verona for 4.5 million euros . In the summer of 2007, AS Livorno loaned him for one season. There he was mostly only used as a joker and could only score two hits in 28 missions. In July 2010 he signed as a clubless player with AC Cesena after his contract with Chievo Verona was no longer renewed. Bogdani returned to AC Siena for the winter break and signed a two-year contract.

National team

Bogdani made his debut for the Albanian national team in 1996. Since then he has played 73 games in which he scored 18 times and has been the record scorer since 2011. He played his last international match on March 26, 2013 against Lithuania.
