Erlend Apneseth (born August 11, 1990 ) is a Norwegian musician. He plays the Hardanger fiddle .

Live and act

Apneseth is considered one of the most important Hardangerfiedel players in Norway. In his music he combines Norwegian folk music with jazz and contemporary music. He studied at the Ole Bull Academiet in Voss with Håkon Høgemo.

His debut album Blikkspor, produced by Arve Henriksen , was released in 2013 . In the Erlend Apneseth Trio he plays with Øyvind Hegg-Lunde and Stephan Meidell . In 2016 the trio received the Folkelarmprisen 2016 for the album Det Andre Rommet . In addition, the album was nominated for the Spellemannprisen in the “Open Class” . He also played with Hegg-Lunde in Building Instrument and Strings & Timpani.
