Erling "Eje" Lindström (born August 9, 1937 in Sundsvall ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player and coach .
Career
Erling Lindström began his career as a hockey player at Wifsta / Östrands IF , for whose professional team he was active from 1953 to 1960 in Division 1 , which was then the highest Swedish league. The striker then played for three years for Grums IK before playing for AIK Solna from 1964 to 1966 , where he ended his career at the age of just 29.
From 1970 to 1976 Lindström was the head coach at Timrå IK.
International
For Sweden , Lindström took part in the world championships in 1957 , 1958 and 1959 . At the 1957 World Cup, he and his team won the gold medal. As the best European team, Sweden also became European champions. At the 1958 World Cup, he and his team won the bronze medal.
