Erling Øistein Steineide (born August 10, 1938 - October 9, 2019 ) was a Norwegian cross-country skier .
Steinide, who started for the Sjårdalen IL and the Heidal IL , was fourth in the relay at his only Olympic participation in Innsbruck in February 1964 . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1970 in Vysoké Tatry , he finished 23rd over 30 km and fourth place with the relay. At Norwegian championships he won three times with the relay of Sjårdalen IL (1963-1965), three times with the relay of Heidal IL (1968, 1969, 1971) and in 1965 over 15 km.
