Ernst Albrecht Ebbinghaus
Ernst Albrecht Ebbinghaus (born February 15, 1926 - † June 1, 1995 ) was a German-American Germanic Medievalist . He was the son of the philosopher Julius Ebbinghaus and grandson of the psychologist Hermann Ebbinghaus . He last lived in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania , and was married to his former student Judy without children.
The focus of his work was the editing and description of Old and Middle High German texts and regulations. Ebbinghaus paid special attention to the Gothic . His student Christian T. Petersen and the Cologne-Bonn Indo-Europeanist Frank Heidermanns have taken on the estate.
