Ernst Braun was a German gymnast from Dortmund . He did gymnastics for TuS Eintracht Dortmund .

In the Reich competition of youth gymnastics in the master class on January 19, 1941 in Kassel, he achieved fourth place.
At the indoor fighting games of the Hitler Youth in April 1941, he was champion with the Gau Westfalen. The gymnasts were provided by TV Eintracht Dortmund.
On December 7, 1941, he was second behind Erich Wied in the youth class Reich competitions in Mainz .
In April 1944, the former German youth champion Braun won the decathlon at the Westphalian equipment championships in Eichen and was the individual winner in floor exercise , on rings , parallel bars and horizontal bars .
On May 14, 1944, he won the German gymnastics championship as a private in the Luftwaffe in Krems an der Donau . Braun was the overall winner and individual champion in floor exercise.
