Ernst Christoph Arnoldi

Ernst Christoph Arnoldi (born March 10, 1696 in Trarbach , † March 19, 1744 in Gießen ) was a German legal scholar.

Life

Ernst Christoph Arnoldi was the son of the pedagogue, logician, librarian and Lutheran theologian Johann Conrad Arnoldi . He had attended grammar school in Darmstadt and started studying law at the University of Giessen . After he had worked as a private tutor in Rheinheim , he obtained a licentiate in law in Gießen on December 20, 1725 , became a lawyer in the Hessian government and a full procurator. On August 4, 1734, he was given an extraordinary professorship in law at the University of Giessen. He was also an associate member of the law faculty and in 1742 took over a full professorship in law.

From his marriage in 1731 to Louise Friderike, the daughter of the consistory assessor and inspector Johann Friedrich Rayß, four sons and three daughters emerged. From the children we know:
