Ernst D'ham

Ernst D'ham (born September 3, 1887 in Eving , † May 22, 1977 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) was a German lawyer and writer .

Life

Ernst D'ham studied law at the universities of Marburg , Berlin , Munich and Münster . In 1911 he received his doctorate from the University of Rostock for Doctor of Law . He practiced as a lawyer and worked for the city of Duisburg from 1920 . He helped to build a municipal administration and savings bank school , which he directed until 1938; He was also head of studies at the Niederrheinische Verwaltungsschule in Mülheim an der Ruhr . After the end of World War II , D'ham was the first head of cultural affairs in Duisburg and from 1948 to 1954 director of the Duisburg City Art Museum . From 1952 he worked as a lawyer for the city of Duisburg.

In addition to legal frameworks, Ernst D'ham published two novels and short stories . He was awarded the Mercator plaque from the city of Duisburg .
