Ernst Deussen
Franz Jacob Paul Ernst Deussen (born September 28, 1868 in Sagan , † September 10, 1944 in Leipzig ) was a German chemist .
Career
Deussen attended the principality school and grammar school in Sagan. After training as a pharmacist, he first went to the University of Berlin in 1895 , then to Erlangen , where he passed the pharmaceutical state examination in 1897 and the doctoral examination in 1898.
In 1898 he moved to the University of Leipzig , where he became an assistant at the laboratory for applied chemistry. In 1905 he successfully completed his habilitation and held lectures from the winter semester of 1905.
