Ernst Fischer (journalist)
Ernst Fischer (born March 12, 1942 in Straubing ; † September 21, 2016 in Munich ) was a German newspaper journalist who held a managerial position at the Abendzeitung , the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the Stern , among others .
Life
From 1970 to 1986 Fischer worked for the Münchner Abendzeitung, most recently as deputy editor-in-chief . In 1989 he became editor-in-chief of the Hamburger Morgenpost , three years later he moved to the editor-in-chief of Stern. From 1996 until his retirement in 2007, Fischer was deputy editor-in-chief of the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Fischer died in Munich in 2016 of complications from cancer .
