Ernst Haas (politician)

Ernst Haas (born November 4, 1901 in Oppenau , † April 25, 1979 in Villingen-Schwenningen ) was a German lawyer and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Haas began studying law, which he completed in 1926 with the first state examination and in 1929 with the second state examination. He received his doctorate as Dr. phil. and worked as a lawyer in Villingen since 1929 .

Haas was 1929-1933 city councilor and since 1948 the city council in Villingen. In 1946/47 he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of Baden and was a member of the Baden State Parliament from 1947 to 1952 . In 1952 he was elected to the Baden-Württemberg state parliament, of which he was a member until 1964. The Landtag elected him in 1954 as a member of the Federal Assembly , which re-elected Theodor Heuss as Federal President.
