Ernst Himburg

Ernst Himburg, 1875

Ernst Himburg (born March 18, 1851 in Hohengöhren ; † November 25, 1919 at Rosenhof ) was a German lawyer and politician.

Life

Himburg attended high school in Stendal from 1861 and studied law in Heidelberg from the winter semester of 1869/70 (member of the Corps Rhenania ). After participating in the French campaign in Dragoon Regiment 7 he continued his studies in 1872 at the University of Berlin and continued his doctorate to Dr. jur. In 1876 he became a trainee lawyer in Genthin, later in Magdeburg, and from 1881 court assessor in Magdeburg, Hildesheim, Stendal, Osnabrück and Jerichow. In 1887 he got a job as a local judge in Osterburg near Magdeburg, where he became a local judge. In addition, Himburg was the owner of the manor at Rosenhof and Käcklitz .

From October 26, 1894 to January 1907, he was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Magdeburg 2 (Osterburg - Stendal) . From 1899 to 1907 Himburg was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the same constituency , where he joined the faction of the German Conservative Party .
