Career

Karth belonged to the Karlsruher FC Phönix , which from 1912 - by merging with FC Alemannia - called itself Karlsruher FC Phönix (Phönix-Alemannia) as a defender .

In the championships organized by the Association of South German Football Associations , he played from 1904 to 1908 within the southern district in the Gau Mittelbaden, from 1908 to 1915 in the more competitive and not subdivided southern district point games, from which he and his team emerged as champions in 1909 and thus also participated in the final round of the South German Championship . In this, his team prevailed first in front of the other three district champions. Winning the South German Championship entitled his team to participate in the final round of the German Championship . He denied the 5: 0 against the Munich-Gladbach FC 94 obtained quarter-finals , which with 9: 1 against the SC 1895 Erfurt obtained semi-final and the 4: 2 against the BTuFC Victoria 89 obtained final . As the defending champion, he was used again in the 2-1 quarter -final victory at VfB Leipzig and in the 1: 2 semi-final defeat against the eventual German champions Karlsruher FV .
