Ernst Nedwed
Ernst Nedwed (born May 26, 1929 in Vienna ; † November 24, 2013 ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and technician. Nedwed was a member of the Austrian National Council between 1978 and 1992 .
Life
After compulsory school, Ernst Nedwed graduated from the higher technical college in Vienna IV specializing in mechanical engineering . He subsequently worked as a specialist in the technical service of the City of Vienna, where he was awarded the title of engineer .
politics
Between 1945 and 1960, Nedwed held various functions in the Socialist Youth and from 1962 to 1969 was a staff representative and an official of the community workers' union . Within the party, from 1968 he held the function of district party chairman of the SPÖ Vienna- Fünfhaus and from 1976 was chairman of the state education committee of the SPÖ Vienna. In addition, from 1976 he was Deputy Federal Education Officer of the SPÖ. Nedwed represented the SPÖ between 1969 and 1978 in the Vienna state parliament and local council and was a member of the National Council from November 21, 1978 to January 28, 1992.
Nedwed died on November 24, 2013 in Vienna. After being cremated in the Simmering fire hall , his urn was buried in the southwest cemetery.
