Ernst Otto Baier
Ernst Otto Baier (born October 26, 1898 in Weinsberg , † July 2, 1974 in Mainz ) was a German mineralogist .
Life
From 1919 to 1920 he studied chemistry at the University of Tübingen , from 1920 to 1922 at the University of Würzburg and from 1924 to 1925 at the University of Zurich . After receiving his doctorate in Würzburg in 1924 and his habilitation in Tübingen in 1929 , he was senior assistant at the TU Berlin from 1929 to 1937 . From 1941 to 1943 he was a deputy professor at the University of Rostock . From 1946 to 1967 he taught as professor for mineralogy and petrography at the University of Mainz .
