The Ernst Prost Foundation is a German charitable operating foundation with headquarters in Leipheim in the district of Günzburg . Patron of the Foundation is the CDU - politician Annette Schavan .

Legal form and purpose of the foundation

The Ernst Prost Foundation was established on December 20, 2010 by Ernst Prost , the managing director of the Ulm company Liqui Moly . It has the legal form of a general (i.e. not communal or church) foundation under civil law .

According to the foundation directory of the Free State of Bavaria, the purpose of the foundation is "the promotion of social and charitable purposes, support for people who are in need through no fault of their own, the promotion of public health, youth and elderly care, education, public and vocational training, des Welfare and assistance for the persecuted, civilly injured and disabled people as well as for victims of crime, consumer advice and protection as well as crime prevention ”.

The chairman of the foundation is the donor Ernst Prost. Further legal representatives of the facility are his partner Kerstin Thiele and his son Benjamin Orschulik.

Initially, Prost provided the foundation with basic assets of 500,000 euros from his private assets . After the sale of his shares in Liqui Moly in February 2018, he increased this by a further 3 million euros.

Others

The Foundation was able to win three prominent athletes as "ambassadors" with charity actions such as jersey - auction , the Foundation financially support and increase its visibility. These are the former professional boxer Axel Schulz , the national ice hockey player Marcel Noebels and the Ulm basketball professional Tim Ohlbrecht .

In 2015, Prost founded the "Ernst Prost Foundation for Africa" ​​as a further charitable project, which mainly in Africa also pursues charitable and charitable purposes.
