Life

Ernst Sigismund Schober came from the Schober patrician family. He was the son of the city pharmacist Rudolph Schober (* approx. 1654; † April 25, 1693) and Anna Rosina geb. Fessel († February 7, 1710). His grandparents were the city pharmacist Jacob Schober and Rosina Katharina born. from Püschel.

Schober studied law in Halle until 1704 . After his mother's death, he was the next male member of the family to inherit his parents' pharmacy and the manors Niederstonsdorf and Bögendorf. Since he was a lawyer by profession, he had the pharmacy managed by Andreas Klotz in 1714 and by Franz Frick Leiter in 1722. In 1719 Schober was appointed church deputy and in 1724 cash deputy and legal advisor to the Protestant church council. He was the author of a collection of copies of the Silesian and especially the Schweidnitz history. His diary was limited to written notes from January 1 to October 1, 1741, including newspaper relations, manifestos and a report on the council meetings. After the Prussians moved in, Schober resigned from his public offices in 1743. He died on August 15, 1749 at the age of 68.
