The lock-down Böge village , formerly Steckel castle called (Polish Pałac w Witoszowie Dolnym ) is an old manor in Witoszów Dolny (German Lower Böge village ), a village in the rural municipality Swidnica (Schweidnitz) in świdnica county in the province of Lower Silesia in Poland . It has been a listed building since 1996.

history

Nieder Bögendorf was an old knight seat. In 1550 the dominium was owned by Hans von Seidlitz on Ludwigsdorf and in 1594 by Friedrich von Seidlitz on Ludwigsdorf. The latter ceded feudal sovereignty to Mathäus von Püschel in 1635. His daughter Rosina Katharina married Jakob Schober. In 1749, the feudal lord of Bögendorf, Ernst Sigismund Schober , pharmacist and patrician in Schweidnitz , since 1724 church deputy and legal adviser to the evangelical church council, died. The feudal righteousness bought Hubert von Prentner on Zilzendorf from the Schobern. 1785 was the feudal man Johann Gottlieb Wengler.

The knightly fiefdom had been in the possession of the Steckel family since 1789 and was therefore also called the Steckel Castle . The manor was added to Ober Bögendorf. It formed its own manor district with 441 ha. The property was divided into two outbuildings with a stately castle. The manager was a captain Wytschetzki. In 1762, during the Seven Years' War , King Friedrich II of Prussia moved his Peterswaldau headquarters to Bögendorf Castle.

building

It is possible that the first previous building existed as early as the 16th century. It has been rebuilt and expanded many times throughout history. Today's palatial residential building was built on a rectangular floor plan at the end of the 19th century and has two floors. Remains of an old moat have been preserved on the northwest side. The property is surrounded by farm buildings. A barn bears the inscription GFS 1806.
