The Gmina Świdnica is a rural municipality in the powiat Świdnicki , in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in the south-western part of Poland . The seat of the municipality is the district town Świdnica ( German Schweidnitz ).

The municipality includes the town of Świdnica. It is the administrative seat of the rural community, but does not belong to it, but forms an independent urban community.
