history
In 1484 it was owned by George von Czettriz. In 1545 his son Hermann von Czettriz sold half of it to Christoph von Hohberg auf Fürstenstein. In 1562 he was followed by the governor and royal councilor Kunz von Hohberg and in 1565 his son Heinrich von Hohberg on Fürstenstein and Oels. In 1599 he sold half of it to his brother-in-law George von Kuhl in Kammerau and Bögendorf. He had also acquired the other half from the Czettriz. His widow Katharina von Kuhl born In 1622 von Zedliz sold the entire village to the city council of Schweidnitz. Seifersdorf thus became the combing village of Schweidnitz.
Since the Reformation the residents adhered to the church in Hohgiersdorf and from 1654 to the Friedenskirche Schweidnitz until 1742 the Protestants in nearby Dittmannsdorf were allowed to build a house of prayer . Seifersdorf was Catholic parish to the church in Bögendorf . After the first Silesian War , Seifersdorf fell to Prussia and was incorporated into the Schweidnitz district. Seifersdorf formed its own district.
In 1785 the village had 1 school, 2 farms, 17 farmers, 3 gardeners, 27 cottagers, 1 water mill, 1 Schölzerei and 348 residents. In 1845 there were 62 houses, 1 freischoltisei, 3 feudal estates, 495 residents, 79 of them Catholic and the rest Protestant, 1 Protestant school, 1 water mill, 1 brewery, 33 cotton and 16 canvas chairs, 26 craftsmen and 1 watchmaker. Since 1842 the place had its own burial ground, the property of which a landowner Klust had bought.
When it was taken over by Soviet troops and the Polish administration in 1945, Seifersdorf was renamed Pogorzała . The German residents were expelled and replaced by Poles .
