Ernst Simon (publisher)
Ernst Simon (born December 6, 1921 , † December 14, 1998 in Dillenburg ) was a German newspaper publisher.
Simon completed his studies with a degree in economics. He was the editor of the Dill newspaper in Dillenburg.
In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, he campaigned for the interests of the newspapers and in particular the interests of the local press. He was a member of the journalist training working group and auditor at the Association of Hessian Newspaper Publishers. In addition, he was chairman of the board of the economic cooperative of the press (WIGO).
In 1991 he was awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany . Simon had been a member of the Marburg Burschenschaft Rheinfranken since his student days .
